Of course, as a “regular guy”, Spiro espouses the “conspiracy theory” version of the “Hegelian dialectic”, i.e. a mechanism at the disposal of cunning manipulators. What, if anything, is to be gained from countering to this the Marxist version of the Hegelian dialectic, particularly in a didactic spirit, and explicitly to the “conspiracy theorists” or, worse, not to the “conspiracy theorists” but simply among the “initiated”? To each other. Arrogantly! I must admit though that I have never seen any such discussion among Marxists. Possibly the snobbery of academic Marxists is on an even “higher level”, such that most are not even aware of the way the “conspiracy theorists” are talking about the “Hegelian dialectic”. Has one of the fans of Castoriadis ever said anything relevant? Yanis Varoufakis has not, at least not in print or publicly.
